Our Robot

Ted Swervin’ is the name of our 2024 Crescendo Robot.

Our goal for this years robot was to be fast and accurate. Since we decided to go swerve this year, we wanted to maximize the agility of the robot and cycle as many rings as possible. Some of the core features on this robot are its quick over-the-bumper intake, its powerful shooter, and set of telescopic climbers.

The simple, yet effective design of our robot allows us to score points in all but the trap. To make shooting into the Speaker(goal) as quick and painless as possible, We installed a Lime Light to track april tags associated with the speaker. With this we can hold a button on the controller and the robot sets rotation of the robot and angle of the shooter to shoot into the Speaker.

We had some issues at our first comp, however one of the defining abilities of our robot was its 4 note auto. Between tweaking some mechanical things, and fine tuning the Path-planer path, we were able to get it to a near 100% accuracy.

We were very happy with how the robot preformed during the season. For the 2025 season, we hope to be more efficient with CAD and start building as early as possible as we lost some time for testing due to a slow start.
